My life has been centered around animals, from my earliest memories, I wanted to be a veterinarian. Since that dream did not come true, I went to the next best thing: Showing, producing, loving and caring about dogs.
I started showing Irish Setters in 1973. While I had little success in the show ring they helped raise my children. A large male, my favorite, Eric, taught two of my children how to walk. With undying patients and a tolerance for pain he carefully guided them as they hung on to his long red coat. He was my last and he passed away in 1987. I also showed, trained and admired German Shorthair Pointers up until 1995. They excelled in the field and as companions and watchdogs.
Otley Border Terriers was founded in 1986. The Border Terrier, has met and exceeded all of my expectations. I have bred four Best In Show Border Terriers, 1 Reserve Best In Show and many Multiple Group Winning and placing Border Terriers. Some of them, have produced Get that went on to become record holders and receive Best In Show awards. Otley Border Terriers is proud of our breeding program which includes, health testing, and only breeding top quality dogs with OFA Health Clearances, who have excelled in Conformation competition and other venues.
Border Terriers were bred to do it all, Earthdog, (hunting), Service dogs, Therapy dogs, Obedience and Agility. We continue to Strive for Excellence with each litter. Knowing that every puppy produced is not a Breeding/Show quality, we do have the occasional puppy that will make a wonderful addition to your family. Inquires are encourage.

As some of you know Otley had a devastating fire in 2014, which killed 8 adult Border Terrier’s. We had to start over. I will always be indebted to several people who sent 7 bitches back to me to rebuild my lines. BIS Otleys Undeniable was out of the first litter after the fire. In 2017 he was the # 5 Border Terrier in the US, with several group placements, 2 Reserve BIS and 1 Best In Show. I was proud to put the finial points on him to secure his #5 Border Terrier position and a RBIS Owner Handled the show he retired. CLARK
